Fire Force
The Shonen dark fantasy series Fire Force was first released as a manga in the Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2015. Its release in volumes that sold over 20 million copies, made it one of the top-selling manga series in the genre. The popularity of Fire Force manga led to the release of its anime series that follow the adventures of Shinra Kusakabe, a gifted pyrokinetic, and his team, who are part of the special forces fighting to protect humanity.
The Fire Force manga and anime series tells the story of a world tormented by the strange phenomenon of spontaneous human combustion that turns mere humans into violent creatures of fire called the Infernals. The third generation of this plagued human race has finally learned to control the flames that originate as a result of their combustion and is now fighting back against the Infernals. The Special Fire Force harnesses the skills of talented pyrokinesis users, such as protagonist Shinra Kusakabe and his comrades, to combat both the Infernals and the internal corruption plaguing the organisation.
