A striking ceremonial Tyler sword (also spelled Tiler), designed as a decorative display piece for Freemasons, Masonic Lodges and collectors. The combination of blue fabric, rich gold-colored detailing, polished stainless steel and natural wood gives this sword a traditional, Lodge-inspired appearance.

With an overall length of ±115 cm and a ±100 cm blade, this sword makes a commanding impression on the wall. The blue velvet is the central colour accent, complemented by the gold-colored hilt and pommel and the silver-toned blade – a distinguished, ceremonial whole.

This model features a straight blade, the form commonly used for the Tyler in many Lodges in practice. Traditional Masonic symbols are worked into the gold-colored hilt and pommel.

The role of the Tyler
The Tyler is traditionally the Brother who keeps watch outside the door of the Lodge and maintains order. The sword has been his traditional implement for centuries, symbolising protection and vigilance. Historically the Tyler sword appeared with both a flaming and a straight blade; the flaming form echoes the flaming sword described in Genesis, while the straight blade also became common in many Lodges over time. Blue, too, has long held a place in Masonic clothing and regalia.
